Spring Shopping Guide

Spring Shopping Guide

February has been a funny month. The weather has been on the border of cold-I-need-my-puffer-coat and kinda-warm-I-can-get-away-with-some-layers-I-think. Getting dressed has been a struggle and a half because you just never know what you’re going to get. That’s why it’s important to have items in your closet that make the transition from one season to another seamless and stress-free. I’ve put together a shopping guide of my favorite trends and pieces that are reliable, on-trend, and affordable for that rough transition from winter to spring!

Let me tell you- it was SO HARD having to resist buying so many (let’s be real…most) of these items!

blazer, stripes, black, white, No Rest For Bridget, fashion, trendy, style, shopping guide, emphasis

Every cool girl owns a blazer. They are sophisticated and versatile, and an immediate upgrade to any look. I love this one from No Rest For Bridget. The stripes elevate it even further and will make your outfit that much more interesting. I love this red one from Lulus, this white velvet number from Lulu’s, and this classic black from Forever 21.

Gingham, bell sleeve, blouse, No Rest For Bridget, trendy, fashion, inspiration, shopping guide, emphasis, dress, skirt, pants, winter, spring
Another piece from No Rest For Bridget that I’m obsessed with! I especially love the bow tie bell sleeves (more on statement sleeves below). My sister tells me I look like a picnic table whenever I wear it, but that doesn’t stop me! It’s a flattering pattern for everyone of any style- from the ultra-feminine to the edgier type. I love this denim jacket from Missguided, obsessed with this overall dress from Forever21, and these pants from Nasty Gal.

Extra AF Sleeves

Save the drama for these sleeves (not your mama)! I love this bold sweater from Forever21; it’s unlike anything I own. If you’re not into the whole Marie Antoinette sleeve vibe like I am, there’s a way to still wear sleeves that are still a little extra and statement-making. My picks are this blouse from Forever21, this (low-key) blouse from Target, this dress from ASOS, and this (another low-key) top from Missguided!

Suede Skirt

My shopping guide wouldn’t be complete without this tried and true classic- my suede skirt from Lulu’s! I’ve had this for so long and can wear it every season. It’s an effortless staple that I think everyone should own! I love this burgundy one and this tan one from Lulu’s, and this blue pleated one and this floral one from Zara.

embroidery, jeans, zara, beautiful, style, trendy, fashion, shopping guide, style guide, affordable
Who doesn’t love and appreciate a beautiful piece of embroidery?! It’s been one of my favorite trends for the past year. While I was living in Paris I saw the pictured pair of jeans in a Zara display and I HAD to have them. The detail on the stork is gorgeous, and I love the bold statement it makes. The great thing about this trend is there are endless ways to wear it- you can keep it simple or go all out! I love these mules from the WhoWhatWear Target collection (I have them in black), this pair of jeans/another pair from Macy’s, this American Eagle dress, and this sweatshirt from H&M.

The first time I saw the furry Gucci mules I thought they were so ugly and didn’t understand why anyone would wear them. Fast forward months later and my Steve Madden pair is glued to my feet. A different pair is pictured above, but I love them all the same. This modern version of the flat is effortless and goes with everything in my closet; I truly don’t know how I lived without them. I’m also really digging this light pink pair, this embellished pair, and these snakeskin ones!

Let me know in the comment what your go-to pieces are for this time of year, and if you want me to do more shopping guides going forward! Also check out my post on following fashion trends here!
